Adoption from MousykinsAll adoptions are considered carefully to ensure that all parties, including myself, will be happy with the placement. To be totally truthful, I rarely adopt out to the public at this point in time. It is very difficult to get adopters to give the kind of feedback I require to track my lines. Additionally, several adopters in the past have proven that I have been far too trusting in the past. If you have been approved for adoption, and I do not have what you are looking for, I will be happy to direct you to someone who might. Please understand that availability will be limited. I have only a few litters at a time and generally have waiting lists for them. These lists are generally much longer around the time of shows and events, such as the MMC shows in September and March. I also reserve first pick for myself and my breeding programs. I breed for myself first, but I am happy to provide a loving home with pets or responsible breeders with breeding animals. Female mice should be housed in groups of at least two, though three or more is truly preferable. Male mice bred in North America should be housed alone. Please consider this when adopting. Some varieties, like true hairless, are not currently available to the public. I will generally meet adopters at a location that is closer to them (and easier to find) than my house. However, as I do not make any money on my mice and spend quite a bit on them, I can not travel more than 15 miles from home. I also attend shows and events on the East Coast and in the Midwest. I am glad to bring mice to the shows for adopters.
I do offer shipping in special cases, but please be advised that shipping is an expensive procedure and can take months to plan. Click here for more information about shipping. Please consider adoption from a rescue or shelter before purchasing any animal from a pet store. |
